The family embarked on a challenging journey through various medications, dealing with side effects and adjusting dosages, all while grappling with the emotional toll of the disease.
Trials and Triumphs with Treatment
Navigating the medical maze was a struggle. Each medication brought its own set of challenges, with nausea and side effects complicating treatment plans. The introduction of the new drug Leqembi offered a glimmer of hope, but the road to approval and administration was fraught with delays and bureaucratic hurdles. Karrie’s persistence paid off when Jutta finally received her first infusion, a rollercoaster of emotions culminating in a noticeable improvement in her condition.
