Connecting people. Empowering advocates. ADRAG launches its new Advocates Portal

Behind every effort to make a community more understanding of dementia is someone willing to begin—a Rotarian starting a conversation, a volunteer supporting caregivers, or an advocate helping a club find a meaningful way to serve. ADRAG’s new Advocates Portal is designed to bring those people closer together.
The Alzheimer’s / Dementia Rotary Action Group is launching a shared online home for its global network of District Ambassadors and Club Champions. Its purpose is simple: to help people who care deeply about Alzheimer’s and dementia feel connected, supported and better equipped to turn that commitment into action.
Dementia touches families across borders, languages and cultures. The needs of each community may differ, but the desire for understanding, dignity and support is shared. By strengthening connections among advocates, ADRAG aims to make local experience a source of inspiration and learning for others around the world.
District Ambassadors help build relationships across Rotary districts, while Club Champions bring awareness and action into their clubs. The new portal supports their work as part of one connected network, helping advocates find guidance, discover opportunities and build on the experience of others.
For someone stepping into an advocacy role, that connection can make the first step feel less daunting. For an experienced volunteer, it offers a way to contribute to a wider effort. And for clubs looking for a place to begin, a stronger advocate network can help turn goodwill into a clearer sense of purpose.
The ambition reaches beyond the portal itself. Better-supported advocates can help open more conversations about dementia, encourage community involvement and connect clubs with knowledge and resources. A useful idea shared in one district may inspire action in another. A relationship formed across borders may bring a fresh perspective to a local challenge.
This launch is an investment in the people who carry ADRAG’s mission into their communities. Technology provides a meeting place; advocates bring the compassion, experience and commitment that give it value.
We invite our District Ambassadors and Club Champions to make this shared home their own—and invite Rotary clubs and the wider public to get to know the people behind the network through ADRAG’s Advocate Directory.
Every connection begins with a person. Together, we can help those connections become greater understanding, stronger communities and more support for people affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.
